Do you have any combined locs? Combining locs is a really difficult skill that should be left to experienced locticians! If you’re adding more weight to a loc than it’s roots can naturally support, then eventually it is going to thin out because it’s holding on to too much weight ????????‍♀️ If your locs are maintained by retwisting, it’s super important for them to be correctly sectioned and parted!

Also, it’s important to not forget that a potential cause for needing to combine in the first place is improper maintenance like not correctly separating locs that have gone long periods without a retwist!

If you’re going to be separating, please do it on washdays when your hair is fully wet so that it comes apart a lot easier, avoiding unnecessary breakage and thinning! ????
