so welcome back to "turning my mugs into nails”, a working title of this new series where I try to recreate looks, art, and texture from some of my favorite ceramic artists. Obvi all credit for the art goes to them, I’m just trying to use different nail techniques to see if I can recreate the look in tiny form as well as split it up between fingers to have a cohesive nail look:)

Also, I did try this with regular polish and the colored pencil writes really well on a fully dried matte topcoat - just make sure it’s dried for awhile and don’t press too hard or you’ll risk dents! Let me know if you would try this:)

------ *note (if you’re new to collecting handmade pottery, often popular shops like this have drops that go VERY quickly - like in minutes/seconds quickly. My best tip for snagging a piece is to follow and subscribe to their newsletter, pay attention to posts and updates leading up to the drop so you kind of know what you want, be on the website right when it launches, and use Apple Pay or something similar to check out quickly.
