Eye lashes and extensions often get lost in surgery because of the tape we use to keep your eyes closed. This can be problematic in patients who have beautiful extensions (and they can be expensive!).

This technique helps minimize the risk of ripping out eyelashes and extensions, while still maintaining the safety of the corneas during surgery and anesthesia!

Remember that tear production is reduced under anesthesia, and this makes the corneas vulnerable to abrasions.
