Last year, I sat the Italian CILS B2 exam. I didn't have any specific need to do the exam, but I thought it would be a good goal to work towards, and that it would motivate me to really improve my Italian.

I had already reached a conversational B2 level with Italian about 4.5 years prior to this, but hadn't done much with it since then. This exam was partly an excuse to start using the language again.

The exam was pretty expensive, so...was it worth the money? I answer that question in this video, and I also discuss my experience preparing for and taking the exam.
